Sawyer invited the good humans to his new spot in South Salt Lake. It was last minute, but the crew showed up to see Sawyer's designs and each other. Sawyer's Legend team has big ambitions for the building that they just moved into. Conveniently neighbors with the overflow storage of a successful reality TV show on MotorTrend, Kindig It Design, the Legend team couldn't feel more at home. Their garage includes a bathroom and a 10-car parking lot. In the works, Sawyer and his partners have a double-story mural, two product prototypes, and a safari-style Land Rover. Finished vehicles are expected by August with a $100k+ price tag.

As the Good Humans began funneling in, teams were formed and the competition began. Although Spikeball was quickly determined to be too difficult to play with a drink in hand, we still managed to have a few good funs. A new homie Brent, the owner of Galatic Coffee, popped in to hang with the group and pick up his enduro racing motorcycle for the following day. Spikeball, lacrosse, and soccer kept us entertained while Milly the pup ran circles around all her new pals.

The night lit up as incense started to burn and the group ate pizza and drank seltzies. Each song that came on was enhanced by the tall ceilings and large garage entry. Soundboxes on both sides of the massive space kept us jamming into the morning. At one point, our imaginations took hold and the group talked about the potential of adding a bar space, lighting options, and facility upgrades to accommodate the a planned event in the garage. 

Eventually, with a long week behind us and a busy weekend ahead, the humans dispersed to their respective places of worship. Not before Sawyer, pulling out the rest of the motorcycles for tomorrow's trip, asked for help to prep the trailer so they can hit the dirt spinning tomorrow. 

Around the corner, the Good Humans take Echo Reservoir by storm on May 30th to celebrate the long Memorial Day Weekend. If you can't make it on Sunday, we'll see you at the WZRD party Friday, June 4th.

WZRD Party, June 4th, 2021

It was due for a blow-out.  Rescheduled from the month of July, the WZRD team and its counterparts were expectant to celebrate some group birthdays and finished films. With pandemic restrictions lifting in Utah, the videos started at 9:00 PM sharp to an approximate audience of 150. We got to hear from Dylan, Phil,  and Galeon, about WZRD and what they do. I chose to climb the drywall on the side of the building for a better view and noticed the audience extended well past the front stoop and facilities.  That's when the 4K video content became real life and the artists began performing their song from Jack's video on the balcony of the stage. Young Habibi Solo fans came out in droves to support their upincoming peer. The skate ramp turned into an extension of the dance floor as the young crowd smashed the haus. An open bar, that was serviced at times by the filmmakers, managed to churn out a consistent stream of cocktails, sparkling wine, and beer that kept the group fueled. W

Hello, my Good Humans, I'd like to invite all of you to contribute to this blog  thegudhumans.blogspot.com  about our lives and experiences together. If you're like me, you've marveled at the stories of travel and adventure our peers share. One of the unique things about our group is the diversity of our professional lives, long-term goals,  and the origin story each one of us has. As pandemic restrictions lift, and life returns to business as usual, we will all be pulled in different directions, making it that much more important to connect in creative ways. Friday, June 18th

With our Grace turning 28, and the newly anointed Federal Holiday, Juneteenth, the Good Humans were due for a night out of fun. Some of the group started the night with a REAL Salt Lake soccer game, while others met at the Bourbon House for dinner, drinks, and to watch the Jazz blow a 26-point lead to get eliminated from the playoffs. Usually a late-night spot for dancing and karaoke, the humans found some winning items on the menu at Bourbon including the Prime Rib Dip, Hummus Board, and Niman Ranch Burger. Drinks that went down included a bottle of Pinot Grigio, a variety of spirit-sodas, and extra dirty martinis.  After dinner, the Bourbon House humans then made their way to Campfire where the rest of the group was.
